Botox can be used to help relax muscles after stroke
Botox injections have been approved by the FDA for the cosmetic use of smoothing frown lines. Because the injections help relax muscles, by blocking the chemical that causes them to contract, doctors are now using it to help relax clenched or tightened muscles caused by a stroke.
