Jet Lag
Jet lag is worse traveling West to East
Travelers going West face a bedtime later than the one in their old time zone. Travelers going East often face bedtimes earlier than the environment in which they’ve just been. It is more difficult to force yourself to sleep than it is to stay awake so the West-bound traveler will experience fewer sleep problems and thus a lighter dose of jet lag.
