Exercises recommended after childbirth may also help men after prostate surgery
Kegel exercises, originally developed to help women regain bladder control following childbirth, may also help men following prostate removal. Because prostate surgery can affect bladder function men sometimes experience incontinence. The Kegel exercise is performed by tightening the buttocks and holding the squeeze in a series of rapid and measured sets. This can strengthen pelvic floor muscles and help men retain urinary control after prostate surgery.
